The Daily Treat: Scooter-Riding Dog Norman Trying to Set Guinness World Record
Scooters, bikes, skateboards – is there anything dogs can't ride?
Norman is living proof that the answer to that question might be "no." The French sheepdog has been steadily adding to his résumé during his four short years, mastering the arts of scooter-riding, skateboarding and bike-riding.
And now he's doing it for a good cause: This Friday, Norman will attempt to set a Guinness World Record by riding his scooter for 98 feet in less than 30 seconds, completely unassisted.
His stunt will be staged at the All-Tournament Players Park in Marietta, Ga., and will help raise money for Road Trip Home, a Georgia-based organization that rescues animals from kill shelters. While it remains to be seen if Norman will become the dog to beat, it's safe to say the event sounds like a winner for everyone involved.
