Jane Lynch Files for Divorce from Lara Embry
Jane Lynch is officially ending her marriage.
The Glee star wed psychologist Lara Embryin Massachusetts in May 2010 and filed for domestic partnership in California days later.
They separated on Feb. 2, 2013, with Lynch filing for divorce on Friday in Los Angeles Superior Court, citing irreconcilable differences and seeking to terminate the court's jurisdiction to award spousal support to Embry.
Lynch told PEOPLE exclusively last month that she and Embry were planning to split.
"Lara and I have decided to end our marriage," Lynch said in a statement at the time. "This has been a difficult decision for us as we care very deeply about one another. We ask for privacy as we deal with this family matter."
